Principal Battery Management Systems Engineer

The Battery Management Systems Engineer will lead the electronics system, embedded software and component-level design of battery management systems during all development phases.  This includes system prototyping, functional tests and integration of battery systems within light vehicle and battery supply system projects. The candidate will need a good understanding and experience in battery systems design and development as well as testing.

Basic Responsibilities:

• systems design of battery solutions from concept, detailed design, embedded software development, integration of all components of battery management systems.
• writing technical reports, planning test and validation tasks, assessment of results,
• preparation of battery management systems test specifications based on relevant regulations and standards.

Skills / Knowledge Required:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
• Very good understanding of battery design fundamentals including safety standards and regulations with a basic understanding of cell construction and chemistries
• Professional experience in system design of mixed electronics design and embedded systems development based on SoC/ARM CPUs.
• Strong communication (fluent verbal and written English)
• Technical/project leading abilities
• Knowledge/experience of CAD/CAM tools and low-level software suites (e.g. Altium, Autocad, Solid Edge, Eclipse, Keil, Visual Studio)
